Diriyah Art Futures (DAF), Saudi Arabia’s pioneering arts, research and education centre, invites the next generation of artistic visionaries to embark on a transformative journey through its Emerging New Media Artists Programme.

Set against the backdrop of Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site steeped in history and tradition, DAF stands as a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to embracing the boundless possibilities of the future. Developed by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Diriyah Company, DAF represents the region’s first institution dedicated to New Media and Digital Arts, serving as a catalyst for interdisciplinary creativity at the nexus of art, science and technology.
DAF believes in the power of collaboration, exploration and production to shape the future of art and humanity. Through the Emerging New Media Artists Programme, the centre offers emerging artists from around the world and particularly the Middle East and Noth Africa a unique opportunity to explore the frontiers of creative expression, guided by a team of prominent international digital artists and scholars. This one-year fully sponsored programme provides access to cutting-edge professional equipment, a production budget and a diverse array of multidisciplinary learning opportunities, including theoretical seminars, technical workshops and personal mentorship.
Collaboratively developed with Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains in France, the Emerging New Media Artists Programme embodies DAF’s goal to fostering innovation and nurturing the next generation of artistic talent. DAF invites artists aged 35 and younger, at graduate or postgraduate completion stage, with a passion for exploring new forms of digital and New Media Arts to join the team on this transformative journey.
Through the Emerging New Media Artists Programme, participants will gain access to state-of-the-art facilities, including dedicated exhibition spaces, technical labs and studios, where they can unleash their creative potential and push the boundaries of artistic expression. Moreover, DAF serves as a vibrant hub for cultural and knowledge exchange, welcoming prestigious artists, technologists and scholars alike from around the world to engage in dialogue, collaboration and exploration.
