Support ART AFRICA’s trip to the Venice Biennale 2024 to cover African and diasporic participation in this prestigious event.

Gabriel Chaile at the Arsenale.

The ART AFRICA team will visit the Biennale from the 16th until the 23rd of April during the media opening period. Our mission is to cover the event with insightful video interviews with the National Pavilion curators and artists and to write an in-depth editorial about this prestigious event.

Your contribution will enable us to travel to the Venice Biennale, produce high-quality video content and in-depth editorials, and share these stories with global audiences.

This year, 14 African Pavilions are participating: Egypt, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Benin, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Morocco, Congo, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, and Côte d’Ivoire. Great Britain, Portugal, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Canada, France, Brazil, and the Netherlands are the countries exhibiting work by diasporic artists.

ART AFRICA‘s mission is to challenge historical narratives and stereotypes that have marginalised the voices of artists from the Global South. We highlight the richness and diversity of African cultures, foster cross-cultural dialogue, and forge connections that transcend borders.

By supporting our cause, you’re investing in the power of creativity to foster understanding, empathy, and unity across diverse communities. You’re helping to break down barriers and build bridges between cultures. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that art from the Global South continues to inspire and enrich lives for generations. Join us on this transformative journey and participate in something extraordinary.
