The University of Johannesburg English Literary Award 2010
From the Press Release: “The University of Johannesburg is pleased to announce the winners of its annual literary award for South African creative writing in English published in 2010. The main prize of R60 000 is awarded to Ivan Vladislavić for Double Negative. The debut prize of R20 000 is awarded to Shaida Kazie Ali for Not a Fairytale. A formal prize giving ceremony will be held at a function in September 2011. Publishers who wish to submit entries for the English literary prize for 2011 should contact Dr Ronit Frenkel via email ”
