ARTsouthAFRICA would like to congratulate Matthew Partridge on his appointment as Fair Director of the Cape Town Art Fair for 2016, as well as Laura Vincenti as the Architect and Special Projects Manager. Together they will join Fair Manager, Liza Dyason to work on the next edition of Cape Town Art Fair, which will take place from 19-21 February 2016 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
Holding a Masters Degree in Art History from Wits University, Partridge has worked as a writer, critic and journalist for publications that include Financial Mail, Business Day, The Sunday Times and the Mail & Guardian.
Partridge is excited about his new role as Fair Director; “I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to work with some of the leading local and international galleries in order to bring contemporary art from Africa to Cape Town and the world.”
Speaking about the new additions to the Cape Town Art Fair team, Dyason says, “With Cape Town providing a beautiful backdrop and with a growing contemporary art market in Africa, the fair will build on its success and provide a space where established and new collectors can sample the very best of what Africa has to offer the art world.”
