Daata launches New Online Platform for Video Art

Daata partners with galleries worldwide to launch a new online platform to showcase and sell video art

Today (14 May 2020) Daata, a leading platform for commissioning, streaming and collecting video artworks, launches Galleries at Daata partnering with galleries worldwide to showcase and sell video art. Hosted on daata.art, the new service supports both emerging and established galleries in connecting with existing clients and reaching new audiences with an interest in artist video.

From Australia to Estonia and London to Los Angeles, Galleries at Daata showcases video artwork from galleries across the world in one place year-round. The inaugural group of galleries, which will be expanded by invitation, is: Anat Ebgi (Los Angeles); Anna Schwartz (Melbourne); Cavalo (Rio de Janeiro); Edel Assanti (London); Galerie Maria Bernheim (Zurich); Goodman Gallery (Johannesburg, Cape Town, London); Hauser & Wirth (Zurich, New York, Los Angeles, London, Somerset, St Moritz, Hong Kong); Helsinki Contemporary (Helsinki); Leslie Tonkonow Artworks + Projects (New York); Maccarone (Los Angeles); Monique Meloche (Chicago); Parafin (London); Peres Projects (Berlin); Salon 94 (New York); Simon Lee (London, Hong Kong, New York); Simone Subal (New York); Societe (Berlin); Stevenson (Cape Town, Johannesburg); Temnikova & Kasela (Tallinn); and Workplace (Gateshead).

Founded in 2015, Daata commissions original, digital artworks by established and emerging artists, allowing users to stream or download high-quality digital artworks on any device. Galleries at Daata now enables partner galleries to upload and sell their own artist video works, which join more than 440 artworks already available on the site. Confirmed artists whose work will be available via Galleries at Daata include Trulee Hall, Petra Cortright, Bunny Rogers, Donna Huanca, Tabita Rezaire and Martin Creed.
