An exhibition opportunity for Creative Business Studio alums at a regional photography festival in Zambia

Unpublished Africa invites Creative Business Studio alums to submit work for consideration in an exhibition at Bakashimika International Photography Festival 2026, to be held in Zambia. The festival is co-founded and curated by Creative Business Studio alums and forms part of an ongoing commitment to supporting early-career African visual storytellers.
The open call seeks photographic projects that demonstrate clarity of vision and professional development. Submissions should reflect not only creative practice but also how contributors are applying skills gained through the Creative Business Studio, including collaboration, project management, and creative entrepreneurship.
Applicants are asked to submit a series of three to five images, preferably as a cohesive body of work, accompanied by brief captions and a short artist statement outlining their practice and creative trajectory. Images must be submitted without watermarks, borders, or frames. Any images featuring identifiable individuals must include a model release confirming permission to exhibit the work.
Selected alums will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in Zambia as part of the festival programme, connecting their practice with regional audiences and contributing to wider conversations about photography and the African creative economy.
Deadline: 15 February 2026
