JOHANNESBURG – Every year the South African Institute of Architects awards projects it feels encourage and recognise good design, or in some way make a significant contribution in the field of architecture.This year year the highest honour went to a book, not a biuilding. 10+Years 100+ Buildings, a 450-page critical survey of post-apartheid architecture, edited by Ora Joubert and produced by Art South Africa (formerly Bell-Roberts Publsihing), has been awarded the Corobrick SAIA Award for Excellence, and a further Award of Merit.
