International Center of Photography’s 34th annual Infinity Award winners

Samuel Fosso was among the recipients of an award

 

The international Centre of Photography’s 34th annual Infinity Awards on Monday, 9 April 2018 in Lower Manhattan. The Infinity Awards honours achievements of remarkable talent across photography and visual arts, it also raises funds to support ICP’s exhibition, education, community and public programs.

Samuel Fosso was among the recipients being honoured and is well known for his self-portraits of West African pop culture figures. He has recently done series, entitled ‘Black Pope’, which was featured at LagosPhoto Festival 2017.  ICP premiered short films about each of the recipients. The films were generously funded and executive produced by Harber Studios and are available on ICP’s website.
